Outdoor sessions for all
In Term 4 we have our second round of forest school sessions with Claire Pickman – a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader who has her own Forest School company - Yew, Me & the Trees.
Claire will be planning and delivering sessions that are tailored to each year group and may include activities such as den building, fire making, tree and plant identification or outdoor cooking. This is being funded by our PTA and we are so grateful to them for the opportunity. We will be using our school site for these sessions and have a new ‘forest school area’ next to the school pond which has also has been resourced by the PTA.
The sessions are as follows:
Wednesday 26th February: Year 6
Wednesday 5th March: Year 2
Wednesday 12th March: Year 3
Wednesday 19th March: Year 5
Wednesday 26th March: Year 4
Wednesday 2nd April: Year 1
Wednesday 23rd April: EYFS (this is term 5)
We will be aiming to get out in all weathers so all children will need to wear suitable, clothing (warm, comfortable trousers/shorts and school top/jumper) and ensure they bring waterproof clothing and wellies or walking boots. Many children have wellies in school so they can change into these before their session.
