Sugar smart at Saltford School

We took our first steps towards becoming a 'sugar smart' school on 13th April, with an assembly led by our KS2 School Councillors This is a BANES initiative that we are keen to embrace. Your children should already be able to share some very surprising sugar facts with you and will be coming home today with some information about the scheme. 

You will see from the presentation used in the assembly that we have pledged to encourage healthy packed lunches and to 'get creative' in school with our sugar smart messages. This is not about cutting out sugar completely, but is about raising awareness and thinking about simple swaps that could be made to make what we eat and drink more healthy.
